Continue along the Pacific Highway until you reach Hexham where you will need to transfer over to the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway. Once you reach Sydney you might to take another break and take in the Sydney culture before the last leg of your journey on to Melbourne.

From Sydney follow the signs west till you reach Casula where you can get on the Hume Highway which will get you to Melbourne in around 11 hours. If you want to break up the driving time a bit there are plenty of place to stop at along the way like, Yass, Goulburn and the Albury-Wodonga regional centre.
