If you would like to drive yourself then you need to head out of Adelaide and get on the South Eastern Highway and follow that through to Monteith where you will need to swap over to the Princes Highway. As you follow the Princes Highway you will come to Tweed heads where you will need to transfer over to the Dukes Highway and follow that through to Keith.

From Keith you will need to follow the Western Highway through Ballarat and into Melbourne. You may like to stay a night or two in Melbourne to take in the sights and relax a bit before you reach your new home.

Once you are ready to carry on you will need to head to Port Melbourne where you can catch the ferry across Bass Strait to Devonport. Be sure to book your passage on the Spirit of Tasmania well in advance to avoid delays. While on board the ferry there is plenty to keep the kids busy while you grab a bite to get and maybe catch a movie at the on board cinema.

Once you reach Devonport its only another 290kms to your new home in Hobart, plenty of time to think about whether or not you might like to talk to us about a storage unit.
